Courage

The flight from SFO to PHL was interesting in another way as well -- not just the carry-on fiasco I wrote about yesterday. (This was written in Philadelphia in vase you're wondering)The woman sitting next to me opened up her laptop and started to work on her web site. Straight editing of HTML.+1 for that.I couldn't help but notice on the preview she had open it had "domme" on it.There's not many usages of the word domme I know of except one.I'll wait for you to google that.As we got closer to landing we started to talk about the things people start talking about on planes: the fact that air travel seems to suck. The seats are awful. that of course is compounded by the fact that they are too close together. At first she mentioned her wife. No great shock. San Francisco after all. Then she mentioned her husband. No great shock. San Francisco after all.I think she was feeling me out. Then we started talking about San Francisco for real. About the Folsom Street Fair and the Urban Iditarod. About some theater company in Berkley that simply doesn't believe in costumes.Ok, so she's not from San Francisco proper, bur rather she lives in Santa Rosa. The vibe she conveyed is that no one really cares about what she's doing. It's not that no one cares about her, it's that actually no one gives a damn since whatever it is isn't bothering them.Secrets suck. She's found an accepting place where the inner secrets don't much matter. Where they don't have to be secrets. She was flying through Philadelphia to Columbus. That's where a convention of sorts is going on. I'm sure if you look around a bit you'll be able to find it. ;-)
