W8DFL QSL Cards - 2/7/2011
We're finally out of the infernal German cards. Not that there's anything wrong with Germany or their cards, but it's nice to have some variety. :-)Up today are mainly from France and French protectorates (or former ones).A good example is from Algeria:
Until January of 1961 Algeria was part of France, hence the French call sign. Less than a year later Algeria became an independent country. My guess is that Mr. René Roujas fled back to France by the end of 1962 along with many of the European French that were colonizing the country. Now you'd get something from 7R or 7T - 7Y if you lived there.Another cool thing I saw for the first time is a mention of a DXpedition:

How can I tell it's a DXpedition? By the date! May __ 1967. There's no way someone would print up a new set of cards for each month. Not only that but the QSL Via WB2RSW is another give-away.He also managed to get EA7EM a couple of times as well.
