Garmin Edge 800 - Review, Bugs

Like I wrote a week or two ago, I now have a Garmin Edge 800 to go on my bike. It's a great GPS with a load of features.I've run into some bugs though. These are all firmware bugs so I'm hoping they'll be fixed soon. Both of these have to do with the elevation recording.

  1. Sometimes the elevation us recorded with an offset
  2. The elevation gets recorded with far less granularity than what is displayed

This screenshot from Ascent (Mac software) show the elevation jaggies. The bottom graph is from my Edge 305, the top is the same section recorded a few weeks later on the 800. (The other graph is heart rate -- you can tell I'm getting better!!)From looking at it while riding I know it has more resolution that what is getting written out to the file. What's up?The second one is yesterday I rode for most of an hour and the graph was reading around 400 feet too low:Really odd...(The spikiness of the heart rate is from the sensor not having a good enough connection to my chest, no fault of the Edge in either case)I'm really looking forward to Garmin fixing both of these bugs. I'm hoping it gets resolved since this is their flagship bike computer...
