Reel Mower: Win!

We moved in to our house around a month ago and the grass had been growing ever since. We brought along our mower from Cleveland -- an awesome Honda self-propelled mower. This mower was purchased for a half-acre of yard. Now we have a few hundred square feet. There's no need for something that big.So, last weekend we went to the hardware store and picked up a reel mower -- you know, one of those push mowers that you saw the weirdos use when you were a kid.We went to the store and they had two categories: good and bad.We opted for a good one from Fiskars. I have a brand trust for Fiskars; I've never had anything bad from them. It also looked cool.  :-)It went together in a few minutes. Four bolts and two cotter pins later we had ourselves a mower!(Yes, you can see that we hadn't mowed for a while)I have to tell you, this thing is outright fun to use. I think it might even be faster than the gasoline-powered mower!Honestly, I think we should've had this back in Solon. I think it would work faster and better than the gas mower that we're going to post on Craig's List soon. All in all it weighs around 40 pounds or so; it's pretty manageable. The weight actually helps it get through tall grass.Another bonus is that the blade doesn't touch metal so it doesn't dull. In theory, as long as we don't nick the blades, we should never even have to sharpen it!Win!
