The long term

A while back -- almost two and a half years ago -- I managed to break my leg.For the most part things are fine. I've healed up and am just about as good as I was back then. Then every once in a while I get reminded about it. My right knee still hurts from the impact. The doctor said things are fine with it and more or less a "just live with it" diagnosis. The strange one isn't even a pain. It's the lack of sensation on a patch of my thigh that was affected when they had to move a nerve out of the way to fix my fracture. When I get touched there it feels different. I can still feel it, but it's more of a collection of tingles than a unified touch. It's odd.The little things like that sitting with you in the long term makes you realize the time that's passing. The time that we shouldn't let pass by too fast.
