Newegg: Rotten

The row continues.I figured once Amazon published a price lower than Newegg's price they would finally accept the price match. They didn't.Instead they come back with a line of bull that goes along the lines of "it's lower than our cost, so here's a $100 gift card that expires in 90 days." Their page does have a clause to the effect of "if it's lower than our actual cost." (This of course ignores the fact that there are people selling this same lens for the same price as Amazon and they don't have any brand at all, why would random idiot lose money?)When pressed what their actual cost is they declined to elaborate. They can make up anything they want and not have to live up to honoring their word at all.Newegg's "Iron Egg Guarantee" is nothing short of a scam in my my book. First they try to redefine the English language, then they try to weasel out of honoring their commitment.I've even offered to split the difference with them and take $200 instead of the $400 price match they should be giving me according to their guarantee. This is escalating to American Express at this point. I'm hoping this will come to a quick conclusion once this happens tomorrow.
