Electronics Components

I've been reading The Art of Electronics lately. It is, essentially, a textbook. In some contexts (Harvard if I recall correctly) used as the textbook for a semester-long class. Here's the thing though -- it's one thing to just read stuff, it's another to really get your hands dirty and try things out.So I need to buy things to play with.I recently ordered a big batch of stuff from Digikey -- mostly for my USB charger project prototype. I also ordered some random (not really random, just seemingly random) parts to play with. Bunches of various op-amps, timers, and stuff. But then there's the passives and passive-like things like diodes and transistors. Resistors. Capacitors. Diodes.Stuff.I can buy them from reputable sources.Or I can buy them from Shenzhen.Like 6,000 resistors for $21 with free shipping.  :-)It might take longer getting to me, but hey... it's cheap! What I think I might do is work some of the experiments in the book and make some videos about them. Maybe while I'm learning and honing my intuition I can help someone else out too.
