Coming in for a landing

Cornelia Fort Airpark, named after Ms. Cornelia Fort. She was the first woman air pilot killed in action during the war.

The airport shut down less than a decade ago. It has since been incorporated into the Nashville park system.

It's not often you get to stand on the tarmac where airplanes used to land. This was the destination airport for the flight that Patsy Cline that had unfortunately crashed back in 1963.

Not it just sits.

Peaceful.

The things in my life, and those around me, have been in such a state of flux. It strikes me that it's similar. We had been up in the air and we've finally reached the ground.
