One Income

We had a call with our financial advisor today. Ennie and I had talked about this before, but we really had to kind of defend this today: only one of us should be working here.

In Seattle we were spending a ton of money on food -- mostly eating out. We were both getting home at six or seven; starting dinner at that point does nothing but get food on the table at eight or nine. And no one wants that. So you default to just buy something.

And it gets worse out here, out here we'd have to hire people to take care of the yard and everything else.

If En were to get a job, all of that would go to nothing but paying other people.

Why? Why would we do that?

It's just like parents who both work, and one of them just works to afford childcare.

It gets to a point where it's just not worth it.
