Recollecting

My work computer is dumb. It doesn’t seem to want to use more than one Bluetooth device at a time. So if I want to you headphones to hop onto a call… well I can’t use a wireless mouse of keyboard. This has been going on for a little while now and I got to the point of simply being frustrated by the whole endeavor. Whenever I use more than just my headphones, I wind up sounding like a robot. Like I said: not ideal.

I’m already on a wired keyboard so that’s I decided to hunt around in my collection of hardware for another mouse. I found a wireless Microsoft mouse, but that had other issues. I think it wasn’t able to properly track on my desk.

So into the closet again, this time I got out a wired Microsoft mouse from maybe 15 years ago. This one did work, but the plastic on it turned gross over the years. A sticky mouse is better than no mouse. But not that much.

That’s when I remembered a mouse I purchased over six years ago.

I was out with Lita on September of 2016 and we were wandering around Seattle. PAX was going on. I got an alert that the Amazon Treasure Truck was selling gaming mice, so I hit buy.

I opened the mouse but I never used it.

So I guess I’ll use it now. For the first real time.

And every time I’ll think of Lita.

It’s not fair that she was taken from us.
