Commercials

Now for an odd post.Today En and I were eating chili at Mike's Chili Parlor a local joint that, as you might guess, serves up midwest-style chili. Not quite Cincinnati style, but close. As close as we've been able to find out here in Seattle. On one of the TVs above the bar I started to see an interesting commercial. This post will now take a left turn. If anything should be findable on the internet it should be a commercial, right? I've hunted the commercial to a new TV series called Rogue for the past 20 minutes to no avail. I've seen some commercials for it, but not the one that just aired.Back on track for a bit longer. Why was I looking for a commercial of all things? Because it is the only time I've ever seen reloading on TV. Not just simple reloading but all the way to casting bullets. The first scene of the commercial was someone skimming dross off a pot of lead. Yeah, unless you've ever delved into metal-casting, I'm sure you've never even heard the word. (It's non-pure metal and contaminants that float to the top of molten metal after you've fluxed the pot to remove it and reduce the metal back to its pure form) From there to powder trickling, an actual honest-to-god single-stage press (I'm guessing a Lee based on the color), and seating the bullet was all in the trailer. They even had a dial caliper next to the press.Whoever was putting this commercial together did their homework -- this wasn't their first rodeo. The finished cartridge was labeled "REVENGE."I'm intrigued. Now if I could only find the commercial it would make this post oh-so-much more interesting!<sigh/>
